GHOST OF A FLOWER

And over at the Slow Love side of life, just as I was about to gobble up my salad, I noticed this ghost of a flower peeled to a leaf. Quite lovely. I gazed at it. Took a picture. Pondered how the flower stuck. Then ate it anyway.

A lovely image to ponder -- and to eat!

Somehow your flower ghost reminds me of "This Is Just To Say," the poem by William Carlos Williams:

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

I love the humor. This is poetry. I admire what's between your ears. Keep it up!
