Wish you were in Los Angeles. Maybe next round.
Do you have time for a glass of wine / finger food in Seattle?
I am so jealous of these cities, have you ever considered visiting Little Rock, we have a lovely independent bookstore-Wordsworth. I think you are amazing. LOVE
Safe travels.

Susan Boe, Little Rock may be in my future! who knows...thanks so much for the kind words. And Warren, you bet! Thank you!
And thank you profA...you must know that I'm always a nervous wreck before traveling....! d
Seattle is an agreeable town for walking if you get here early. I'd suggest treating yourself to breakfast at the Pike Place Market. Le Panier has the best croissants and coffee. Take the Times and lounge at the window bar. Peaches the size of softballs may be all you need for a mid-day snack. Some flowers from the market may be just what you need to relax you before your reading.
Sunday morning the Ballard Farmers Market is worth a trip. Go early (9ish) and get brunch at Bastille. Read the NYTs about 9/11.
In Portland:
- Paley's (Escarot a la Bordelaise w Bone Marrow) and Chocolate SOuffle
- Park Kitchen
- VooDoo donuts
- Food carts / trucks
You will be surprised at how much you can rely on an efficient and highly recommended bridal salon to
practically take over all of the work you need to do before,
during and after your wedding. The paper will also turn out to be more shiny and glittery with plastic wrap.
One of the most popular garden sages is the Purple sage.
