AIRPLANE READING

You know I've been spending too much time on planes; one afternoon, during an interminable delay, the nightmare happened: I ran out of things to read. That's when I wandered into the airport and found....Airport Lit. I'm converted. I wrote an essay about my new reading habits for The New York Times; lit snobs can go on the attack (There, there, dears, I understand, I'm one myself) but give me P. D. James between New York and Ohio any day.  Dickens, Galsworthy, Henry James, and all the other fabulous novelists I love, I'm keeping at home with me.

The comment section of the Times is full of great reading suggestions, too. I'm taking notes.

I love the illustration (top) done for the Times by Jessica Fortner, who is from Toronto. I'm sharing another, called The Tiger's Tale, simply because it is stunning. I keep seeing new detail. And yes, I have new glasses. More on that particular adventure later....

I'm really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your
weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?

Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one today.
